Growing up

The little daredevil has learned a new trick! Shortly after learning this trick, he learned the consequence of learning this trick. Poor kid started toppling down the stairs but luckily I was there to catch him :)
sorry it's sideways. Not sure what to do about it :)

Fun Run

This morning the boys asked if they could come on my run with me. I decided that we would do a half mile and I would drop them off at home before I finished the run alone. It was kinda fun. Love these boys!

Dear Hyrum

Today I have been feeling sentimental. I have been going over memories and precious moments and I have realized how much I need to physically write something down so you can see how much of a treasure you really are.

You are the baby that came in the midst of turmoil for me. Your daddy was off being a hero, being my own personal captain Moroni, while I was at home being pregnant and raising a 1 year old. There were many moments that I wondered how in the world I could handle raising two children alone, and many nights I felt so terribly alone as I felt you kick me and I had no one but a tired 1 year old to share it with. However I had received a blessing from your father before he left that told me how excited you were to be joining my family. Knowing you wanted to come be my baby brought me comfort.

Then there was your c-section. It was the most painful thing I had ever gone through. However as soon as I had recovered and met you I realized how much I would have done it hundreds of times over just to bring you into the world.

You were my angel baby. The comfort that I needed until your father came home. You never cried, or whined and added so much joy into my life that the 6 months after you were born without your father were so much easier then the first six months he was gone. The Lord knew I needed you.

Then you became your brother Michael's best friend. I watched your relationship grow as Michael decided that you were not a pest, but a good friend and partner in crime. You and him raced around and broke everything in your paths.

There is so much energy in you, so much happiness that you have to share. I love that you are my child. I love that you ask me everyday if I am happy, because it concerns you when I am not. There is a light inside you that is contagious and spreads to everyone you interact with. Many times I have been frustrated, but you have come and lightened my load with your happy nature and loving attitude. You are still one of my biggest comforts.

As I watch you struggle with Seth as you struggle to figure out your place, I am amazed that in all of your struggling, there is still so much love that you give to your baby brother. You love having him around you and love making him happy. There is such a generous nature in you that I hope to learn from you, and become more like you.

I love my personal superman

A Seth Moment

This boy is just pure fun! He is at one of the funnest (Yes I know it isn't technically a word) stages and is just a joy.
Some Seth Moments:

He is definitely a handsome beauty :) He has started pulling up on things and then pushes off of the surface and balances for a second before crashing to the floor. Lately he has been sporting some pretty bruises on his forehead. He also has started clapping and patting me on a back-something that impresses all the older couples in our Sunday school class who can't help but giggle over this little flirt. As a matter of fact this baby has the whole class wrapped around his chubby finger. Today he lost his pants (New diapers, more leakage) and everyone got to see his fat thighs-He then wowed the class by pulling a blanket on and off his head and giggling like crazy.
Thank goodness this kiddo likes me though, because he has started throwing some mean tantrums.

Word Power

Some more of MD's awesome singing

Why is it that things just seem to run smoother on Sundays when we are at Grandma and Grandpa's house? The kids are more cheerful, they don't fight us as much when we get them dressed for church and they play happily until we leave. Grandparents just must have the magic touch.
Here they are: All dressed and ready for church
The Michaels in my life

Really we are incapable of taking a perfect picture. At least they are all smiling-even if not at me!
And, of course, some after picture wrestling to let out some energy!

AMAZING!

My mother-in-law is amazing. Really at pretty much everything, but today I want to showcase her amazing sewing talents. Try as I might the ability to make something cute just escapes me (Except in the case of my three boys) But she just makes it look gorgeous and effortless. So, to get to the point, she made me this:
AWESOME apron that I have been wearing around the house every chance I get because it is one of the cutest things I now own. Thanks Mom!
