productive day!

Today has been a busy but very productive day!!! Since being home from our vacation we have had tons of things to do! Yesterday Michael went out and brought home a piano a friend of ours gave to us, and today he was out with my brother in law Kenneth building me shelves/cabinets for our Kitchen! I am so excited for these cabinets, they give us so much more storage and cabinet space. Also we had time to play cowboys with Michael Dunn and Michael Dunn started playing the new piano! (well we let him bang, he called it playing) Also I went shopping and asked my dad to hold Michael Dunn while I brought the groceries in and came out to see him on the swing. Michael had a blast and It was fun seeing him with grandpa!!

Christmas!!

I will be so excited to be home so I can post some pictures! It was such a fun morning. I don't ever remember having a "Traditional" Christmas and it was a lot of fun to relax and open gifts and just sit and appreciate family. there was a wonderful spirit there and it was SO much fun watching Michael Dunn who, needless to say, did NOT know what was going on. He was so confused by all the pretty wrapping paper that he didn't even try to open a present. He did however focus on the orange that he got in his stocking that he would not put down! He was in an unusually good mood this morning smiling and laughing at everybody that I felt like this was a good day for him and that he really enjoyed himself.

I really have enjoyed this Christmas more then most I can remember. It was wonderful to be together as a family, and was especially fun to have sweet Michael Dunn there to focus on. I think it is easier to get into the "spirit of Christmas" when it is for your own children.

For us Christmas started on Christmas Eve where Dad Huish read in third Nephi and we watched Luke two to a song "Breath of Heaven" It was Beautiful. Mom Huish read a quote about taking time on Christmas to remember the Savior and his birth. It was a wonderful introduction into a wonderful Christmas.

Dance Dance Revolution

Last night Marie, Keaton, Andrew and Erin came over and brought with them the Dance Dance revolution game. When I get home I will post some pictures. It was alot of fun to play games as a family and watch everyone try to keep up with the directions on screen! Michael Dunn was very cranky and had to go to bed before all the fun started. After the games Erin made sugar cookies and we all had fun decorating them. I have loved being up here! It's been so nice to relax and just enjoy family.

Michael Dunn news!

Michael Dunn said Dada yesterday! I have been really hoping it would happen before his daddy left so I have been really pushing that word. He hasn't said it again and I know he didn't say it in reference to his Dad but still it counts.

Michael Dunn has really been experimenting with sounds so It is fun to hear things that are recognizable. He says mama when he is really upset but other then that he likes to say BWA BWA which I am not sure what that stands for.

Christmas with Family

This year Michael, Myself and Michael Dunn took a trip up to Utah to visit Michael's family. It was a long 27 hour drive to get there from Texas but we had great weather the whole way. It was fun visiting with Andrew and Erin, Marie and Keaton and of course Mom and Dad Huish. It was fun to watch everyone with Michael Dunn who loved being the center of attention and especially loved his grandpa and grandma.

We stayed in Utah for about a week and then continued on to Beaverton Oregon to visit with the rest of Michael's Family. It has been so much fun visiting with Callie and Steve and Melissa and Aaron and getting to know everyone better. It has also been fun to watch Michael with his brothers and sisters and watch them all together. I am so grateful for such a wonderful extended family.
