Another Snow Day
Which means we are stuck inside :( Luckily for the boys, I had some activities up my sleeves just for days such as this. Cue this activity:
I'll call it: Couch jumping :)

I really like this picture as you see both MD's comfort items flying through the air as he took a flying leap onto our blanket pile :)
I can't wait until summer but until then at least my kids are getting some mild form of exercise and I am getting plenty of entertainment :)

In 3...2...1....
That is about how fast it takes my kids to DESTROY a clean room. I think they might have a future in demolition :) Honestly their bedroom is usually not QUITE this messy-only when I clean it before hand. They get excited as soon as they realize what I am doing and then hole up in their room until this is what they have accomplished :
I have to admit they really show excellent teamwork-MD cleans out the lower shelves and Hyrum climbs on MD's bed and pushes all of their books on the floor. Then once the room looks like the picture above, they decide their job is done and come find me again :)
I ask myself why I even bother cleaning in the first place-but then my kids really appreciate the 10 minutes of fun I give them messing it back up again.

I am the sun in my childrens universe
My children are like little planets that literally rotate in orbit around me. It is about a 10 foot radius and when I move gravity forces my children to move as well which means everything I do is a community event. Cue me going to the bathroom
I run into the bathroom shut the door-turn out the light and start counting. Within 10 seconds the boys are screaming outside the door trying to open it-which they succeed in doing. They turn on the lights and start a running commentary about what is going on
"Mommy are you pooping?" (Michael ALWAYS asks me that-regardless of WHAT I am doing)
"Good Job mommy! You did it!" Said with some clapping
"Mommy gets a treat"
I struggle (And fail) trying to have some modesty- I have started to wear a swim suit when I take a bath because the boys will NOT be kept away.
Every food taste better on my plate, water is better from my glass, Even sleep is easier in my bed with they child's foot propped up on my face.
It is funny to see just how much my kids react to me.
Last night it was bed time and I layed down with each of the boys and sang to them. Hyrum scooted up real close and stuck his face an inch a way from mine. He stayed like that for a couple of minutes before jabbing his finger into my eye and screaming "EYE!!!" then laughing hysterically. MD took a different approach. He also snuggled up close and then all of the sudden BAM! He punched me in the chest. MD did inform me at close to the end of the night
"Mommy I really love you"
Of course you do sweetheart :)
Hey kids guess what?
I love you too.

When Mommy is sick
Everyone else is too.
Apparently when I am sick my body just shuts down and all I want to do is sleep and take an occasional break and eat nothing but ramen noddles and brownies. Weird combination? Yeah it undid everything I did last month and I gained back every pound I had lost-not really something I wanted to find out when I felt stinky already. Anyway Both my kids have caught what I have which means alot of whining babies, snotty noses, nasty flemmy coughs and meals that consist of crackers, pickles and sometimes something real when I get a boost of energy. My kids have watched TV all day every day this week which makes them even MORE whiny :) Its a vicious cycle that I don't think I will be breaking until we emerge from this faze we are in. Luckily I have recovered some of my health this week and am no longer living off of the ramen noodle diet and can take care of these sick kiddos. Is it bad of me to say that even though I feel awful for them and HATE that they are sick sometimes it is nice to feel completely justified in letting my kids do nothing but watch TV?
A couple of days ago before this junk hit Hyrum he was playing with my computer when he was watching Veggie Tales and we came up with these pictures

These kids are so silly.
